Digital Pictures of Negatives!?!?!?!?!

I have been wanting to find a way to get my old film negatives into the computer without spending a LOT of money on a decent negative scanner. I pursuit of that I ordered a Pentax Slide Duplicator the other day that will be here soon. I couldn't wait though and wanted to try to DIY one. These are the results I got, as always click on the photo and it will enlarge. A description of my set up is at the end of the post.

Loanhead of Daviot Stone Circle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Here is how I did it, a translucent white box from Ikea, two flashes with Yongnuo RF-602 Flash Triggers. Camera on tripod more or less vertical and lined up with the slides, I used my K200d with M-50mm f4 lens. When I (Eventually) get my DA 100mm f2.8 WR Macro I will be able to get better copies, but as you can see what I have doesn't do too bad. The light in the front is to assist with focusing.
