Pics taken at Provo Temple 6-14-08

Lauriann and I went to the Provo Temple to see a friend get sealed to her husband. We took a few pictures afterwards, not quite the best light, and I was too tired to spend too much time in the heat getting creative.

The Temple pic was with the 28MM F3.5 I was given by DaddyDave Shields, and the flower was with the 18-55 Lens from Phil.

Idiot with a bike...

The Select Health Medical tent, sorry about the quality, it is a cell phone pic!
Here are some of the group I was riding with, there 2 girls and 4 guys all of us from the same team.
Me while riding down the road. Notice the sky, NO CLOUDS! This is what the weather guys call "Severe Clear"
This is one TIRED puppy who just finished. In fact I was so tired I had trouble raising my hands in exultation at finishing!

Today was my Tour de Cure day. I was up at 5:00 am, drove to Brigham City, got breakfast and started riding about 7:45. Some of the other members of team Select Health, were impressed with my ability to stay with them. They were riding road bikes I ride a mountain bike with slick tires. (Compared with knobbies for dirt traction.) I had (repeat HAD) been planning on a nice 26 mile ride, back to the high school and putting my feet up. Well these yahoos played on my macho, I wana challenge myself, tendancies. Ending up with me riding the 69.6 mile loop instead of the 26 miler............sigh... My bottom hurts, major areas of redness and a few blisters. OW!!!!!

Anyway, I am VERY proud of myself for pushing through and finishing the ride. Just wish I would have felt better the last 15 miles (into the wind I might add!).

Next year I will expect to do this again, but will only do 26 for sure!!

Haven't Downloaded Pics Recently, but have good news!!

Over the weekend my (Awesome) Father-In-Law mentioned that he has some old Pentax Lenses he isn't using and wondered if they would be used and find a home with me. Needless to say I jumped at the opportunity and I now have 4 lenses in the mail:

The lenses are Asahi Optical Co:
· 28 mm f 1:3.5 SMC Pentax
· 50 mm f 1:1.4 SMC Pentax
· 135 mm f 1:2.5 SMC Pentax
· 85-210 mm f 1:4.5 SMC Takumar

I haven't been able to find tests of them, but I have heard that the 28MM, while slow is one of the best wide angles Pentax made. I CANNOT wait for them to get here!
